Jud Carter graduated from Murray State University, and is a Certified Contractor that specializes in ICF Construction. He manages all teams on site everyday, ensuring that each home is built to the highest quality possible. Jud and Jenn own two beautiful black labs, and when time allows, they go fishing or to the beach as a family.

Juddy Carter began this company with the vision to build sustainable custom family homes with innovative design and materials that will outlast many generations. In his spare time, Juddy loves to fish and spend time with Susan, their kids and grand-children.

Jenn Carter

Jenn Carter oversees the commitments and communication during the design-build process to ensure that it runs smoothly with open and consistent communication using her previous experience as a General Manager. Jenn also belongs to the Junior League of Gainesville. In her spare time, she and Jud enjoy time with their daughters' dance activities.
Susan Carter
Bio >
Susan manages the designer and architect to make sure that home is built to the specifications of the budget and desired look. She also helps manage Carter Construction as a business and in the community, and entertaining when friends and family come to visit.
For five generations, Ira Judson Carters have been leaving their mark on North Central Florida. Ira Judson Carter IV has been a builder of homes since 1981. He was the very first builder in the City of Gainesville to receive a green building permit.
The principals of Carter Construction are: Ira (Juddy) Carter, a State Certified General Contractor. Jud Carter a Certified Contractor that specializes in ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) construction. Susan Carter coordinates and streamlines the process overseeing client satisfaction with design and decorating details. Jennifer Rafferty-Carter oversees all current operations.
When you speak with Carter Construction you are speaking with one of the principles. You will have an opportunity to meet with each of the Carters through the different home building phases. Carter Construction also works closely with the University of Florida, finding non-toxic and earth-friendly materials to help promote the most sustainable and renewable building products available.
